I called and talked to this guy...see below. $900 Ready to ride, after a few thing. Like tank and carb cleaning, at least one front caliper rebuild (maybe pads?) fresh fluids, tires, and a batery. Other than that, ready to ride.

I will see if he has it by the end of the summer and see if I can get him to wake up.

This one was posted last summer, and it never sold. He posted the ad again this last week. I sent the guy a note, telling him I'd help him fix the 2nd gear issue (for a fee, ofc), since I couldn't afford to buy it myself. I got a call 2 days ago from a potential buyer who he must have passed my info along to, asking if I would still help. He's supposed to pick up the bike tonight, and bring it over to my place tomorrow. He's interested to see what the bike is "supposed to" look like, since mine is the same bike. Makes me feel good to see another XS back on the road, instead of relegated to 2nd place in the back of someone's garage.
