Many years ago on my Virago I almost hit a low flying plane that was landing at Lake in the Hills (IL) airport. I locked up both wheels and missed it's tire by about 3 feet (Heck yes I flinched, I also swore.) In 1996 a plane when through a semi trailer at the same spot. I tried to report my incident to the FAA, but nobody ever answers. Since the truck accident they have expanded the airport, but the danger was not corrected.

And definitely +1 on the guy not flinching. Incredible!

I had never seen the interview before. What I get for assuming.

That last video sort of puts the point of wearing "all the gear all the time" right up front. Humm?

                Love those Blue Angels!

Man, I hate this timer for posting. I typed out what I thought were some pretty cools stories that I have experienced...when I went to post, I had been booted out and lost it all. Not the first time that's happened.

                  Great pictures!

For the timer: before you press the Preview or Submit button, press Ctrl-A to highlight everything you've typed, then press Ctrl-C to copy it.

If it hoses up and spews after you've pressed one of the buttons you've still got everything you typed safe and sound in the edit buffer. Open a new Reply and press Ctrl-V to Paste the contents into the new Reply window, Preview it to make sure you didn't any words out, then Submit it.

                  Voila!

                  Regards,

                  Scott
