  • Very nice exhaust on eBay

    Hey Folks,
Knowing how difficult it is to find decent exhausts for our bikes, I'd like to give you a heads up on this one listed on eBay.

I'd love to have that on my bike. If it were later in the season, I could convince my wife that we could afford it but not right now... I'm watching it anyway.

I put my bid in, dont expect to take it home for that amount but we will see. Think of all mods/updates a $130 could buy...but on the other hand, a nice chrome 4-1 would be awsome to have. Hell, one that doesnt scrape the ground would be nice!

I won't bid and I hope you get it. I'm going to live with stock headers and Hoggly-Davidson mufflers...

Phil's nailed it, It is in deed a Mac. Chrome Kerkers are rather rare.

How is the performance relative to the Jardine, is it considered better? I assume Kerker and Supertrap are a tie for whats considered the best of the best?

IMHO a Jardine Spaghetti Exhaust is the Best...but extremely rare and very hard to find....if not damn impossible... Kerker and Supertrapp are likely equivalent systems...Both sound Excellent and offer the best performance and the ST can be tuned to your bike sound and performance wise. Next I would list the Jardine 4to1...which I have...Performance is good but not stellar, the Oval Glasspacked muffler has good sound...a bit more mellow than the Kerker but it will still set up and bark and howl...Lastly MAC...their muffler sounds well... it doesn't bark like a Kerker and it does not offer any improvements in performance. I have had the MAC ,Kerker and the Jardine 4 to 1...One final note ...Of all the above named systems only MAC is still in production...for our bikes.

Thanks madmax, I already have the Jardine 4-1 with the oval can so I know how well it sounds but, I have nothing to compare it to performance wise other than my Dads stock 79 F. I Kind of hope someone out bids me now, Id rather wait for a supertrap or kerker to come around...

If you need to retract a bid on eBay, just send the seller a note saying your mechanic said that item would fit your bike (tell 'em you have an FJ if they ask) but after researching it further, it's the wrong one. I've done this several times and the sellers have always cooperated and retracted the bid with no negative feedback. JAT

                          Exhausts

I've got a chrome 4X1 Kerker on my G that I painted down to the collector and I do like the performance and sound. The chrome was going and surface rust was starting to set in. The PO told me the bike was jetted accordingly but I discovered differently. I have a set of SS Jardines 4X2 that I'm going to try on it. I really like the sound of these, they were on the F that I bought, fixed up, and sold. My XJ came with a set of RC Engineering 4X1 that are really awesome and I plan to keep on it. The LH has a set of factory stocks that have been welded/repaired that will go along with it.

Hey Cobra, What sort of jetting do you have for your RC pipe? Is it with POD filters by chance?
