John,
I just got a hotel in Durango for less than $300 for 3 nights! Go to the hotel site from Jerry's page, and look at the Travelodge. Refrigerator, WIFI, microwave, etc. for Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday night!
IF the campground doesn't work, this might!Leave a comment:

Jerry...That rally page is real nice work! And yes Nate on the ST-Owners site the mods move all the rally info to the 1st page. They also include 2 links one to Attend and another to Discuss the rally...in their case they're called STOC events.
Yeah Phil I'm on at least 6 different m/c forums

Darn Campground!
Doesn't want to rent me an RV site with hookups for use with a tent. I need electricity for SWMBO's CPAP machine and their tent sites have no hookups.
If I am paying full price and not sharing the site with other than the 2 of us, what difference does it make if I use an RV site???
arrgh!
The husband of the lady I talked to is supposed to call me to discuss - I tried pulling the Rally Card - guess we don't have enough folks reserved to make that much difference.

Thanks for looking at this Jerry. That Colorado page is just what I'm talking about! I know nothing about software issues, just don't know why something like that can't be the first post of a rally thread, as it is on the ST site that I referred to with the link, as both sites use vBulletinLeave a comment:

Guys:
I would be glad to put rally pages up on my site, similar to the one I have for our Colorado Rally
Just send me the info you want posted. Organizers (or interested parties) can put a link in their sig line, so info is accessible from almost any page in the thread.
I'm not an expert web page guy, so if you would want more than a basic layout you would have to create it and send it to me, along with addresses for links, photos, what have you.
I think the idea of having info in the first post in a thread would be neat. Removes the necessity to navigate away from the thread. I offer the hosting option as a backup if anyone is interested.Leave a comment:

I think that would require a mod sticking pertinent posts to the beginning of the thread.Leave a comment:

Hi Road Runner , Your frikin evrywhereHi John...Dean's point is although there are separate regional forums for rallies...you still have to sift thru all the pages of posts to find out where the rally is being held. It should be automatically posted in the very first post of any given rally thread...BTW Dean I'm on ST-O too

Thanks Mr Roadrunner
I had found it, but the point is that information should be readily and easily available.
I think everyone would appreciate it.

I would again like to ask the above question. I'm tired of trudging through pages and pages and pages of posts in order to find basic rally information; hotels etc. It's probably gonna take a half an hour to just find the XS East motel ...Leave a comment:

Rally/event info
Question for the mods. My Honda forum has a feature that moves all the necessary info in a rally thread to the very first post. Dates, attendance, motels etc. This avoids having to wade through the many thread pages to find the info. Is this someting we could do here?Tags: None
