    Hi Rick,
my experience with hospitals is the technical stuff is fine but they are such 24/7 busy places that there's no way to get a good sleep. Let's hope that he gets out of the hospital real soon so he can rest and recuperate at home. At least at home he can rent DVDs to pass the daytime hours away free from interminable soaps and infomercials.
DVDs were not an option in my father's lifetime, he claimed there was a conspiracy between radio, TV and movie theatres to drive people out to the pubs.

I hear ya Fred. I too have spent too much time in the hospital (I've haven't had to go much in my life but once is too much). You're soooo right. How are you supposed to get better if they come in every another hour an ask you haow you feel?
I hope DGxer doesn't have to much road rash. When I wrecked my V65, the road tried to eat me alive. When I went to the hospital they reset my shoulder, and put silvadean on my scrapes, kept me over night for observation then set me homw with no instructions or follow up. BTW I had great insurance.
after acouple days of terrible pain I went to my family doctor. They couldn't believe the Hospital sent me home like that. They had to remove the bandages that had since dried to the rash. Then they took a brush to scrub the asphalt out of the wounds "faint" (I didn't see a smiley face that fit this one).
I sure hope they treat DGXSER better than that.

I hate to hear that a fellow rider has gone down. Glad it wasn't too serious, if there is such a thing. Anytime someone or their bike gets hurt, it's serious to me.

Sending you tons of positive vibes for a speedy recovery Don.

Spoke to Doug (Dbeardslee) this afternoon, as I understand it, surgery went ok, he is in the ICU at University of Cincinnati Hospital, I imagine he will be for a couple days. All I know about the wreck is that he told Doug he went over a guardrail, whether he meant himself, himself and the bike, I don't know he has a broken leg and some broken ribs, that would be the extent of my knowlege regarding his injuries, when he initially wrcked, he was complaining af back pain, as it turns out, is back and neck are fine, it was his ribs that were hurting. I am going to try to get down to see him tomorrow. after which I can hopefully give a better update as to what happened and what his condition is, however, it does look as though Don will be ok, good news for certain. thank you all for keeping Don in your thoughts and prayers, you all are one hell of a good bunch. that's all for now, hopefully more later. have a nice day and ride SAFE
