The group of XSives (not sure who, but there were several) that travelled to Florida to re-build Sailor's bike just before he passed, so he would be able to take one last ride. That was a touching story. I'm glad he got to feel the wind on his knees one last time.

Hey Bug, I'm pretty sure Sailor lived in Cali-forn-yia... IIRC, that was Diver-ray, 3-phase, and Latexexes (I never remeber how many exes he has in there, more than Sam Kinneson I think.)

DBeardslee, and Lorax rode up to Indy to put an engine in a bike for a fellow member, I got to tag up after all the hard work was done and eat and drink and uhhh...supervise really well. Dbeardslee also opens his mancave to one and all for alot of hard work for no to little fee. (beer or two is always accepted).

Steppenwolf and Varnae donated some parts to the Banshee when she needed em most! Great folks all around on here IMO.

Sailor DID live here in Can'taffordya. We went because we had the time, and a fellow biker needed help. No big deal, just help when you can, and the world WILL be a better place to live.
That's my take on it, Scott and Rodger may have a different point of view. I've seen a LOT of people on this site help others with parts, time, and experience. I think it's just the way we all are.

Just like Ray wrote it, we had the time and ability to fix what could be fixed and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I've ridden a couple of miles here and there since then to ride with and sometimes help other XSessives with their bikes but nothing like the Delta run.

R.I.P., Sailor, and you ride safe, too, slo mo!

That one had to be the best story I've ever read on the various motorcycle forums I frequent. Yet somehow you know none of them did it for any pats on the back.

Bill Hane (Snowdog51) sent me 3 drilled rotors for the cost of shipping only. I saw this as a pay it forward situation and have done the same for others because of his deed. I have seen way to many to mention on here, do exactly the same. I love this site and its many wonderful, helpful members!

The Elevenator got me going and the Geezer keeps me rolling. Good advise and encouragement along the way from a host of XSives has made it a great ride. XS11.com provides a lot of entertainment, inspiration and information. Thank you one and all.

                              Tranny fix

TC did the tranny fix and multiply other fixes to my bike on the weekend of the 4th of July plus gave me room and board and food.
