Don't know if you get them from Korea. They made motors under licence to Suzuki for years (SV650). Few years ago they started making complete bikes, first few were a bit rough on the cosmetics. Several thousand $ cheaper than SV650. Since then the product has improved to be good value. Still several thousand $ cheaper than Suzuki. They are supposed to be developing a 1000cc motor, could be good bit of gear judging by the current standard of the 650s.

Dunno, I must be a bit "Old Skool" but an old saying like "Rather a sister in a whorehouse than a brother on a Honda" springs to mind when I think Hyosung.

In the past. However, these days it seems to be that whoever is producing the best value for money product will get the customers money. Two doors up the street from local fix it shop (Top Tune) a couple of 650 Hyosung's are parked all day. Have looked closely and am impressed by paint and overall finish of product.

Top Tune = any weekday ending in y after 5pm = beer O'clock = DAMN I like beer

Why would I pay 2 times more for an Italian name when I could pay half and get about 35% more horse power and about 15% more torque with equivalent handling compared to the same year top of the line Duc? I like the looks of the Ducati but the price kills it for me. And as far as I'm concerned, Ducati has finally started to increase their horsepower and torque over the past couple years.... finally.

It's not about horsepower and torque, I dont need to have the fastest or the most powerfull, the cemetaries are full of those who do. It's about looks, style and handling for me (and I don't like a lot of chrome). Same reason the Hardley crowd like what they have, well... maybe without the handling bit.
