    New guy from Texas, just recently bought pretty clean lookin '81 xs1100, came with rough parts bike, & i had a '80 xs1100 that needs motor work! i like the older bikes, also have a '80 maxim 650 in rough shape, & a Kawa 550. New to bikes, so will need help! lol thanks!

    if you are new to bikes, be careful with the XS11 once it's running (excuse me, runnin).
    That bike has serious power and can get real scary real quick.

      Welcome aboard! Looks like you've got your own supply of spare parts, which will probably come in handy. Is your new bike a Standard or a Special? Pictures are always apreciated here too! You've definitely found the right place for help with the XS11's so feel free to ask away.

          Welcome to THE site for XS1100's!!
          Looking at your handle, I would say you live in Sharidan, TX. That's just a guess from some old hippy type dude out in Can'taffordya.
          Check CatatonicBugs link in his signature for a manual, if you need one. And if you ARE new to bikes, PLEASE take the Motorcycle Safety Course! the things you learn WILL save your life.
