  • They Really, Really Like Us.

A recent Gallop Poll shows that 9 out of 10 Americans like Canadians.
This was the highest rating of all countries.
Good to hear, because we are not planning to move anytime soon.

The clip is a news item by Tom Brokaw

Yep, we like ya just fine..... up there.....on the other side of that line...... kinda like that uncle with one good tooth left, that gets on everyone's nerves, but he's still family so you "like" him.

Yeah. how would we ever have gotten free beer without the extensible knowledge of the Mcinze Bros.

And at least when you have to push 1 for English, there's a damn good reason for that.

Not to mention with out Canada, there would not have been "Corner Gas" which, although short lived was hugely entertaining and funnier than any american sitcom.

Just a billion? So... how are you getting away from paying taxes on ALL of it?

Its Obama's new tax credit. I learned about it at a beer summit after he said I was acting stupidly. I took offense, on account of him not knowing that is modis operandi normis.

Yeah Rick..no surprise here...I love Canada...Every Canadian I've met has become an instant friend. If I could find a way to emigrate i would...but its just not that simple...Suffice to say...If there were any other country I would rather be than the USA it would be Canada!

I think the USA is to liberal and Canada is worse in that respect. All the rest is great. I think most Americans see Canadians as our cousins to the north. They're like family more than the people of any other nation.

I think Canada is pretty cool (quite literally as well) but I think that Australia and New Zealand are well into the good range as well. I'm not so fond of any of the threes gun laws, but that may come from my upbringing and background from this country.

                      Blame Canada
                      Times have changed
                      Our kids are getting worse
                      They won't obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse!

                      Should we blame the government?
                      Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?

                      NO!
                      Blame Canada!
                      Blame Canada!
With all their beady little eyes and flapping heads so full of lies!
                      Blame Canada!
                      Blame Canada!
We need to form a full assault!
                      It's Canada's fault!

Don't blame me for my son, Stan.
He saw the darn cartoon and now he's off to join the Klan.

And my boy, Eric, once had my picture on his shelf.
But now when I see him he tells me to #$%^ myself.

                      WELL...
                      Blame Canada!
                      Blame Canada!
It seems that everything's gone wrong since Canada came along.
                      Blame Canada!
                      Blame Canada!
They're not even a real country anway.

My son could have been a doctor or a lawyer, it's true.
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue.
                      Should we blame the matches?
                      Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?

                      HECK NO!
                      Blame Canada!
                      Blame Canada!
                      With all their hockey-hullabaloo,
And that b@%&* Anne Murray too,
                      Blame Canada!
                      Shame on Canada, foooor...
                      The smut we must cut,
                      The trash we must bash,
The laughter and fun must all be undone!
We must blame them and cause a fuss before somebody thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuus!

Aw jeez, it's just that we Americans know y'all Canucks really want to be Americans, too. We'd raise more of a fuss, but 'scept for those plaid shirts, y'all blend in too well, don'cha know. Y'all speak our lingo, mostly, and we're usually shocked that many of our favor Americans are actually Canadians. Plus, watching Expo games helped me learn the metric system, sort of, although a "120 meter shot" (or metre, for you Quebecois) doesn't have the panache of 400 feet.
