RaceTech sends out multiple directions with all their emulators, so yeah, it can get confusing. Use the ones closest to what you have. The adaptors are only needed if the emulators don't 'seat' into the top of your stock dampers. They should fit fairly snug, but just a bit of looseness is ok. If you do need adaptors, don't try getting away without them. The bottom of the springs should fit the top of the emulators about the same. As to the 10 wt oil, it should be fine. My experience with them is if you use all their recommendations the front ends up pretty stiff which is great for the track but not so good for the street. The critical thing seems to be getting the spring pre-load right; here I'd follow their directions to the letter.

Yup, I used 10wt oil as well in my project forks. And for the pre load: it is possible you have the forks again to modify, that is the only nagative thing with these things. As I said earlier I use the YSS ones and mentioned they are cheaper. That is correct for retail but not for the customer himself
Overhere these valves are a succes with classic racers because you can't see any modification on the outside.

the adaptor i mentiond sits on top of the spring it self not the emulator???

Currently, I dont know much about the forks and how their all assembled and exactly how they do their black magic, but this might help you some. I guess once I do the FJ fork mod I will be some what knowledgeable about the subject.... Scroll 3/4 the way down for pictures/example of the emulators.
