  • Heated seat pad.

I read in the latest March/April issue of Roadbike magazine that Sargent is selling an electric seat pad to be installed under the seatcover on a bike, sounds like it might be something to look into.

I can't imagine needing something to WARM my butt on the bike. The problem is usually with keeping it COOL! Monkey butt, is, after all, a result of sweat and friction. They need to set up a water pump and a cooler to help keep us dry and fresh!

RIde a naked bike (the bike, not you!!) in the sub 40 deg temps and you'll appreciate anything that keeps anything warm.

When I'm riding in the cold I'll turn on the heated grips first. If that doesn't do it the electric vest comes on.

I ran across this on ebay the other day. Might work for a removable heated seat pad:

or if the link dorsn't work it's item 170408079291 from http://stores.ebay.com/Industrial-An...ercial-Surplus

Yeah, but Ivan... let's face it... you just don't have enough kids yet... you definitely need a few more... and I always thought that cold made a guy more 'manly'...???

I'd have to cover up with some sort of underpants. With that cold, my "Manly" wouldn't look very manly.

But like C-Bug... The only thing that gets cold on me, are things exposed to the wind. My arse sitting on a padded seat isn't one of them. Butt to each his own.. lol.

We have heated leather seats in one of our cars and the wife loves them and won't get another car that doesn't have them now. I'd like to cut the wires to the thing. She thinks it's hilarious to turn mine on while I'm not looking. I'm hot natured anyway.. but that will make me start squirming in a hurry!

Wow! Something we agree on! I will never understand the need for heated seats in a car. Once I sit down (on just about anything), my butt does a fine job of keeping itself, and the seat warm, no matter how cold it is outside. I think the only thing I'd like to have a heated seat on would be the toilet.

                        Comfort over Style

Not as aerodynamic as the OEM seat nor is it heated:

Could be colored to match the bike tho.....
