I was softly rooting for Indy... Nor-lans played a GREAT game, and deserve praise for the win. It was a very good game to watch, no matter what team you liked!

I wanted the Saints to win, but I just KNEW they didn't stand a chance and would be blown out by the Colts. After the first quarter, I knew I was going to be right. I usually root for the underdog anyway, but it's nice to see them get this after what their city has been through. It was nice to be wrong this time.

            Pigs Have Flown !!

            It has been 42 years!

I was selling stadium seats in the old Tulane Stadium and got to see John Gillium run the very first kickoff to the Saints back for a touchdown on their very first play in the National Football League. The stadium went crazy. Later in the year I was there when Tom Dempsey kicked the record setting 63 yard field goal. The ball was in the air forever and when it split the pipes the stadium went crazy. Then we watched through the years when Archie Manning got his A$$ kicked because we could not put a team in front of him. And yes, New Orleans loves Archie and his whole family. We suffered through Tom Fears, who was just a plain idiot, Jim Mora, who quit mid season and Mike Ditka (although we love you, Mike). Now, 42 years later, pigs have flown once again and the question, Who Dat, has been answered.....We Dat!

For those who have never lived in a city with a Superbowl winning team, the feeling is unbelievable. This town is electric right now and the whole city went crazy. When time ran out there were fireworks exploding in every direction. Plus, we are just staring the Mardi Gras season. If anyone has ever had plans to come to Mardi Gras, now is the time! So, put on some Black and Gold and come on down! Everyone is welcome here!

Dang post whores, next thing you know they will be asking why nobody noticed they hit XXXX post.

As to the game it was a heck of a turn around from the 1st quarter on. Even the end of the first half when they both were about walking the ball up the field non-stop.

I missed the onside kick due to a fuel leakage issue, but I saw the interception and return for a TD. That felt like the "stick a fork in me, I'm done" moment for the Colts. The wind went out of the sales right there. Fun game to watch for sure, very entertaining. First time in a long time the game was better than the commercials.

Too bad; it was awesome(hope no explosions or anything). They lined up for the kickoff to start the half and the basic commentary went something like "And now they're giving Manning the ball to start the quarter and let me tell you that's not a good WHAT THE HELL IT'S AN ONSIDE KICK WHAT THE *explicitive*" Or something to that effect. Stroke of brilliance. Never saw it coming, especially since they lined up for your standard kickoff, and who in their right minds does that!?

As far as the first time in a long time that the game was better than the commercials, I completely agree.

And how about The Who? Wow. After the Stones "performance" I was kind of worried, but hot dog did they ever knock it out of there!

                          DGXSER,
You can catch the kickoff here:

                          http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl,218126

They've got it part way down the page.

                          Ivan,
Tights aren't the point. Football is like moving chess. It's a study of strategy, of militant moment, and territorial aggression. It's a study in teamwork though coordinated individual effort. You have to take some small thing and ram it into your enemy's territory while they do what they can to try and stop you, either by holding you at bay or stealing your dang egg. Then after you make it you back up, throw them the giant egg, and John Wayne dare them to see if they got the stones to stick their egg in your end zone. Err... Well anyway, if you don't make it, cause either they were all over your tight end while in the red zone and you couldn't get it to him underneath for the score, or maybe your QB got hit in the sack after coming up short, then you can toss the other team the egg and dare them to try and do better. Usually at least you get a shot at having a lanky nerd sneak in and split the uprights for you while you're out getting some gatoraide. If you miss and turn over, you'll have um deep. They don't want to risk hearing "Saftey" so probably will ram it up middle a bit to give themselves some breathing room. After that they'll open you up with a screen and then go long and drop a bomb....
Football's a mans game. Blood and dirt and sweat and grunting and yelling and pushing.
Tights? Peh. They don't need no stinkin.... wait what the hell?

                          Aw crap.

Football's not my cup of tea. Watched the last quarter of the game and was Glad to see New Orleans win, but it was the first football I watched all year.

I do keep an eye on all forms of motorcycle racing though.

I was too busy riding motocross bikes in HS to be bothered with football.
