I'm not normally into this chain email stuff, but someone sent me this I thought it was quite good....


The Charlie Schulz Philosophy


The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.
Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.






How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies..
Awards tarnish..
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.



Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money...or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most

That reminds me-

One of my big pet peeves is this guy who gets 15 million a year for playing a sport. He couldn't care less about his fans, but they turn around and call him "hero." That just makes my butt chew gum. If they want a real HERO, let them look at todays armed forces!! Every one of them is a HERO to me.
And of course, so are our vets. one of them was a tunnel rat in Nam. He has had PTSD for all these years and until last year the VA kissed him off. They told him he was take drugs or drinking to much, thats all. Listen, you give a .45 pistol to a 15 million ayear quarterback, outfielder, a hockey goulie, or a so called rock star, or movie star and tell them, "Hey, your are going to crawl down that hole in the ground, you can't see anything, so when you bump into something, you better shot fast because that creep is going to try to shoot you. And don't come back until you have shot a bunch of them or your dead. Try that one one of them. They make me wanna puke!!
