The best thing about this site is the people, who are excited to share their expertise, while also being honest about these experiences, which makes all of us feel comfortable to ask a question--even if it has been asked 1000 times. After not having any problems with my bike until the last year (12 years total), I had some problems that you all helped me with! I learned patience, gained mechanical knowledge about the XS 1100. I will never sell my bike--too attached. So for all you wanting to ask a question---do it-- someone here will have an idea what to do or they will tell you exactly what to do to get your bike back up and running. At the least --- it is interesting an read !
I also hope to join a rally in the future -- Cheers!
