that is all. i thought maybe some of you that are either too stupid or too smart to ride in the cold and snow would commiserate with me. Mostly just wanted to b****, the damn thing is just sitting in the garage, EVERY DAY waiting for me to ride. this sucks.

Yep, us CA riders had to park-em today. Don't think it's going to be cleared up tomorrow either. Maybe (I hope) by thursday.

But in San Diego it was nice riding weather this week, always enjoy coming to SD and glad I am keeping Rising Sun here - though I suffered the shame of having to double back the other day to pick up a right side cover in the middle of the road that popped off at 55mph - squeezed the legs in too tight I guess - lucky nobody ran over it!

Wow! You DID get lucky on that one! I lost my Left side cover the same way, but didn't even know it came off till I got to my destination.

After 2 weeks of snow and ice, the temps got over freezing yesterday, enough to melt the ice on the roads, and dry them out a bit. It was still 20º this morning, but it's gonna get into the 40's today. I just couldn't leave the bike at home! It sure felt good to ride again!

Its been in the 40s and 50s here for the last several days. I had to give it a good 2 days to melt the ice and snow out of the alley so I could get my bike out, and even now, some side roads are impassable. My XS11 is still in pieces, but Ive been riding my FZR around quite a bit. Its LOVING this cooler weather. It should reach almost 60 today. Im waiting for a few hours for it to warm up, then Im headed out for a ride around town. We are expecting snow tomorrow, but back into the high 50s for the weekend! We got lucky, all that arctic weather that has been sitting on the east for almost a week just skirted by Denver, and then some warm air from the west snuck in behind all that cold air

                      Hi 1st,
                      That don't suck.
If the weather is warm and dry, you have time off work, no other commitments, a pocket full of cash and can't go riding because the bike don't run, THAT sucks.
And if it don't run because you had those cold winter days to fix it but didn't; that REALLY sucks.

you're right a bike in pieces sucks!!! and thankfully i haven't torn it apart yet, i have been waiting since the 1st of the year (my goal was to ride new years day...too damn cold) and i hope the weather holds over the weekend. if it is just in the 40's i am good. fingers crossed!!!

and you can come visit and wheelie through the snow if you want. i will watch and laugh....and then help you fix it!
