  • Now that your all sober,

Another silly computer question. When I open a second tab in IE, it comes up blank in the window where a internet address should be. How could I change that to always come up with the same address? For example, I often check my mail at Yahoo, and this would be a good quick way to get there.

You can go to "tools" and open "internet options" and set the home page to be whatever you want.

But...I think when you open a new tab it will always be blank.

Unless....you open it by right clicking on a link and selecting "open in new tab" (will work from the favorites menu)

OR........Set the home page.....then just open the blank tab and click "home"

There’s something about going riding with your friends, a feeling of freedom, a feeling of joy that really can’t be put into words.
It can only be fully shared by someone who’s done it.......... on any sunday

As I understand it, you can enter multiple addresses in the home page setting seperated by semicolons, and it will open each in a tab on start up. I heard about this working in IE, but I use firefox, since I don't care for IE. So I havent tested this.

As he said, go to internet options. On the first general tab, look at the bottom where it says "Tabs".

Click on settings there. Put a check mark in the box that says "Open home page for new tabs instead of blank page"

            Thanks guys,

I might be able to make this work, if I read the instructions out loud as I do them. What? You don't?

This is really a sneaky friggin' thread. I'm NOT sober, and I have absolutely no idea what yer talkin' about.

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
