The Pacifico is a MUCH better fairing, IMHO! If you've never ridden with one, you will notice the better top end and fuel economy over the Vetter "barn door". -
My Wife found a Pacifico fairing in good shape in Colorado. $200 and free shipping.
Previous owner(s) cut and drilled a lot of holes. Guess I'll be getting good at welding plastic.
Then to repaint the bike. Fairing, lowers, side covers, hard bags and trunk. Then there's the headlight bucket, seat cowl and rails for the OEM option.Leave a comment:

Pat, I have the fairing motoman gave me years ago. If you can get close to Santa Cruz area, it's yours! Needs the mount area fixed, but with today's epoxy should be easy. I'm going to be moving to Idaho in less that two months, and it will go to the dumps if someone can't use it.Leave a comment:

I'm still alive (suprisingly).
Been living in AZ for a year now, still a truck driver for the same company.
Ironically got recognized for "1,000,000 miles accident-free". They put a decal on the tractor proclaiming such. I asked they wait until my wrecked truck came back from the shop, lol. Some idiot passed oncoming on 2-lane highway and nearly hit me head-on. He lived.
Had a rogue gust of wind blow my parked "E" over onto some rocks and shattered the fairing.
So, looking for a square headlight Pacifico fairing. Wife contacted some one on Ebay selling fairing, bags, and trunk out of Ashland, OR. If that's a forum member, that's me inquiring.
Anyway, just checking in. Still have both XS's. LG just sits there non-oped.Leave a comment:

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction".
Driving I-80 in winter is not fun. Especially when I'm not comfortable in 'real' winter conditions. 60 MPH crosswinds blowing snow across the highway can be disconcerting. I'm told in winter we will go the southern route. I-40 thru Flagstaff and New Mexico isn't much better.
I'm used to fog, others know snow. Depends on where you were raised I guess.Leave a comment:

They stuck me with a new Volvo, mfg 3/12. I liked my 06 better. New one has less power, weaker jakes, auto-shift like my old one only now no clutch and can't manually select gear. new brakes are wider so they squeal horribly. I does have a nice stereo. I put all my CD's and a couple of audiobooks onto a flashdrive and just plug that in. Eight speakers that will go as loud as I can stand with almost no distortion. My CB already burned-out the co-phase box so I have my own single antenna on a birdperch. Are you still driving that volvo? How do you like it? Doesn't sound like your winter will be too bad. I remember when i used to run state side but now i am just a short haul/city p&d driver now home every night. swmbo would do terrible things to me if i did long haul again and left her at home with 4 kids.

Glad to hear you are still vertical.
Winter will be bad?
Worst freaking heat wave and drought since 1956 and you say Winter will be bad?
I count my blessings every day that I awaken to our blessed coastal "marine layer."
Nice to hear from you!
Special Ed
