I'll call 20k in the saddle a good year considering I didn't ride to work more days than you could count on your fingers.......

How many miles were you fortunate enough to spend the saddle in 2009?

*(odo on XS11 is broken and I probably only put between 500 and 1,000 on it so I'll guess the low end)

Here's to hoping for more in 2010!!

      not enough for me.
between all 3 bike, probably no more than 4000km (~2500miles). have to haul a kid around a lot now so the bikes were out of the question for lots of my road time. at least the cage gets 1100+km to a tank.

In spite of being laid up for several months, right around 6,000.

From the time I got the scoot running in August 08 to June 13th, when I was knocked off the road, I had put on over 25,000. I rode that scoot every minute I could. Now, I wish I could get healed up to the point I can ride all the time again.

That is a really interesting question.

I tried to figure it as close as I could considering I changed speedometers around August.

I'm guessing between 4000 and 5000 miles. I ride to work almost every day when it's warm enough.

Marked my mileage down on January 1 so I can check next year.

                Ask me again next year.

Diamond Plate is a bikes best friend.....

In 2009 I did about 5000 miles in the vehicle below:

With my 79 Special in the back here:

The trip was a "honeymoon" for me and my bike through 7 states, going county to county, and using the following website to find those roads worth doing:

                      http://www.motorcycleroads.us/index.html

The majority of roads were "sweepers" as defined by the above website with enough "twisties" so I could work on my chicken strips and keep my tire profiles rounded.

Miles on the bike were only about 1200. I left in January but had to call the honeymoon short around June in order to get back to Washington State and do the seasonal maintenance on the sailboat.

It was only after I returned that I bought/installed the video camera mounts..... Do I really need a reason to do it all again???

Well, they XS had about 76000 on it when I got it in Nov 08, and I put about 1000 by the end of the year. So since I have about 82000 on it now that would be about 5000 miles for the year. Pretty much all commuting, but I hope to get some recreational miles on it this year.
