  • It was all worth it

Last year I picked up my MNS and threw it together in about a month in hopes of being able to ride with my father who comes down to Florida every year for the holidays and brings his bike from the fridged north. It had its problems we only ever made one trip around town, almost. I ran out of gas This year I was going to be ready. I joined this site and began wrenching. Everyone has helped me with great advice, parts and many laughs. I have to say thank you.long nights in the garage and on my laptop have paid off its running great. Today my dad and I headed out to cocoa beach stopping along the way for lunch(the gator was awesome) we then went down the coast a bit and headed home. The whole ride I just kept thinking how cool it was to ride with my dad and wondering why it took this long as he gave me my first mc when I was 18 his 73 xs650.Today was better than any christmas gift Just a father and son doing something they both enjoy together
I'm also very proud of how the ol xs ran

Glad to hear you got to spend some quality time with your dad. I finally got my dad talked into getting a bike last year. He really liked to ride, but never got around to getting a bike. We got him a KZ900 last year, and he i my primary riding partner now. He can "almost" keep up, too As you say, there is nothing more fun than tooling around with your dad riding shotgun!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba….Hunter S. Thompson

              Cool Stories

              Glad to read them.
My son and I used to play Ice hockey. There was nothing better.
He's not into bikes and I don't want to push it on him.
              Happy Holidays
Keep up those father son rides.
