  • Merry Christmas!

I was going to post this in one of the other Christmas threads... but the pics called for something a little bit all their own...

Yesterday was in the 70s and I was riding with a light jacket... and this was the tree in our front yard a mere 2 weeks ago...

Just beyond the snow man (yep... you read that right) is the same tree about 2 hours ago...

and more of our Christmas miracle...

(also taken about 2 hours ago and don't laugh... this IS Texas... lol)

and these were taken about 20 minutes ago... and it's still coming down...

    Merry Christmas!

What a great treat for all the "kids" down there! Last Christmas snow here was in 1968.

A long time between snow ball fights.

        Pretty good "Snow Angel" Kat.

        Merry Christmas everyone!

It snowed here in Austin today, too, Kat. I personally counted three flakes. But they were big flakes.

The last snow in Austin over Christmas occurred during the last Ice Age. The last measurable snow at all was 1985.

It was pretty cool to see a couple of flakes today.

          Merry Christmas.

                    Snow in Texas?

Not that it matters but we just finished a spell of weather in Lacombe where the temp hit -42. North of us in Edmonton(75mi.) they broke a record for the lowest temp at -48 that same night and that did not include wind chill(we have 18" of snow at our acreage). Wheres the global warming I'll take mine for Christmas morning. Have merry Christmas.

                      Tulsa this morning

                      MERRY WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

About 6" or 8" of fresh snow! Looks kinda like Montana.

I think my across the street nieghbor had too much egg nog. He parked his truck in the ditch in front of next door.

                        Merry Christmas All!

Well I'm sure glad to see you southerners finally took on you're share of the snow.lol. We have none right now, although it is cold.About 20 degrees.
Last year we had about five feet at this time.Which is rare even for here.
I wonder how Tod will get back to Oklahoma from Arizona? It looks like it will be cold and a little slick.

I am wondering the same thing about Tod. It's not going to get much above freezing for the next 10 days at least according to the Weather Channel.

He might have to rent that U-Haul truck I mentioned in another post.

The snow reaches all the way down to Wichita Falls Tx. Tough to ride in.

I was thinking of pulling the bike out for a winter photo op but it's uphill into my garage and I might not make it back in. My Blazer is 4x4 and it's having a hard time getting around.
