If everybody that pissed someone off on here left, there would be nobody here. I figure it's one of those "get over it" moments.

                        Hi Ivan,
drop this? No way! Rip the scabs off and let the air get at it or it'll fester!
I find it difficult to comprehend that an XS11 rider would act like a shrinking violet and drop off the list because he'd offended someone.

This whole deal would have been much better left in private channels. However it has not been. This is where I hope it shall end:

Last year some time, Albert (devilschld) and I managed to get in contact with each other. Well, there came a point where I was down and out in a wheel chair with a yard full of storm debris and no way to get rid of it. Lee (trainzz, RIP) was right there to help, and had arranged to get a large bobtail truck form his work to haul yard waste to the dump. Several people were asked to help and were promised a dinner afterward. Guess who showed? Lee. That's it. He worked his square butt off and helped when I really needed it. Then about the time all the work was done, guess who shows? Guess who was more than happy to help them selves to the dinner without lifting much more than the pack of smokes from his pocket? Understand, this was when we had been on one income for a little more than a month, and no Aflac or anything was being paid yet. The dinner was a hell of a pinch in the finances. Now, my dear wife Shaunna had to step in and keep me from telling Albert to piss off. I was not at all happy about feeding him for showing up late in the game. I was not the only one feeling like that.

That was my first real experience with Albert. But, I decided to give him some leeway and hope for the best.

Then there were a few times when talking to other people that they had noticed the same tendencies. He wanted something for nothing. usually begging parts or free labor from halfway across the state with not so much as a warm cup of goat urine for thanks. Several times he asked advice and then ignored it completely, without even trying it, then the next time around, the same questions, and wanting the next part that one of the good souls on XS11.com had suggested he may need.

Flash forward to the wake for Trainzz. Apparently he invited himself to the family gathering and Terri had expressed her interest of getting rid of all of Lee's bike stuff to him. Since Terri had said the same to me before that, in Talihena I think, a bunch of us that actually knew Lee had made plans to either fix up a scoot from Lee's cache or sell the parts on eBay for Terri's benefit. The day of the service, Albert called me sounding quite excited that Terri wanted to get rid of Lee's stuff. When I informed him of the plans, his voice stammered. He said, "W..w...w...w..well don't forget about me." Now, I suspect this is his reference to the statement of respect. The only way I can fathom that it was in respect, would be in the context that he didn't want us to forget him in the helping out. Now, with his previous record, I was inclined to understand differently. Not only that, but his intonation was not that of a grieving friend who bespoke in solemn respect, but rather that of a child who had just watched the dog catcher take his puppy to the pound. In addition, when he saw that Lee had a fairing, he about lost control. "Gosh I'd sure like to have that fairing." were his words (possibly not verbatim). I said, "Then feel free to bid on it." He was incredibly antsy and seemed about to cry or some such, thinking that he might not get that fairing. So, since he was so overcome with guilt, he promptly set to eBay and bought a Pacifico instead, then bragged about how he got such a great deal on it. It was by that posting that I surmised that he was not interested in Lee's fairing for sentimental purposes. When he put that post up, it sure came across to me that the incident at Lee's services was greed motivated. To add to this feeling, I think Albert and Lee were in close proximity twice maybe? Maybe three times? So, maybe I have this part wrong, but I can say that Lee's references to Albert while talking to me were not all that positive. Thus, I surmise that Albert's sense of entitlement was misplaced.

Just yesterday or the day before, Albert posted about a standard tank fitting in with a Pacifico fairing. Today, I once again start getting calls from Albert. I had only received calls since Lee's funeral once or twice before, again asking for parts. I have tried my best since the incident with Lee's parts, to let sleeping dogs lie. But, he called me and several others multiple times today. Multiple times enough to get more than a tad irritating. Guess what my first voice mails said? "Are you ignoring me? I need some parts..." at which point I deleted the voice mail. Others that were rung incessantly said the same thing. Albert, wanting someone to give him a standard tank, with the correct key code, and never mentioning any form of payment or trade. It really feels to many of us that we are little more than a free parts source. So, later today he calls me at my house, and I asked him not to call again. I really was not in the mood to argue with someone about weather or not I should be had up with him, so I ended the call with that.

There are several other incidents between us that have chapped my wide ass, but I believe that to be between me and Albert, which I was believing this to be as well. For him to come on here and grasp at sympathy is gut wrenching and not at all welcome. To try and twist it to make me look like the aggressor is just plain wrong.

Now, I am not, by any means, trying to get Albert to leave. Actually, I want him to stay. I am sure he will get along quite well with other people, and I truly hope he does. As for me, I am really no longer interested in maintaining a rather taxing relationship.

To be fair, I did send Albert a very concise and heartfelt PM as to why I don't want him contacting me anymore. It had to be rough in nature to fully explain my stance. I really hope Albert will take this as a chance to reflect on how he presents himself to people, especially in tense or emotionally charged situations. Believe me, I have fretted over this for a long time, and I really wish it hadn't come to this.

So, since I know that every conflict has two sides minimum, I will leave it to Albert to retort. I know there are others that have had like dealings as well, and I will leave that up to them to decide to post them up or not.

So, selling his bike in spite is up to him. If that truly makes him feel settled, OK. I can't see the reasoning, but to each their own.
                              Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.
