  • Is Parts'n More fast?

I ordered brake pads and fork seals from them two days ago for the frst time. Their website says that they would ship Fedex Ground. I only received an automated order confirmation but nothing with a tracking number - which I kind of expected. I sent an inquiry via email but so far no answer.

    - How recently did you use them?
    - How fast is their shipping?

Found this on GOOGLE, ( I'm off work today and bored)

partsnmore order ? These guys are OK!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ordered some parts via the internet from these guys last week for the 750 and are these guys slow or WTF? Ya can't call them cause no phone # is on the site and you can only deal with them via e-mail. Anyone deal with them lately?

UPDATE: Yes they are a little slow in shipping but I did get all my parts. Maybe I was in a little rush (aren't we all for our MC parts?). They now get a thumbs up rating.__________________

They are in Canada, so it takes a little longer than usual to get your stuff, but they are good to deal with, and prices seem reasonable. It can take up to 2 weeks to get my stuff, but if there is a problem, they are willing to fix it. Last time I used them was earlier this year for brake parts.

Sometimes I get my stuff in 3-4 days. Othertimes 10-14 days. I would guess a little longer to Ca. Hang in there. They are good people to deal with.

They are much faster than they used to be. Time was you ordered from PNM only for long range projects. Lately, though, I usually get stuff within a week. I think they opened a shipping office across the border because the stuff they have sent me doesn't come Air Canada anymore and it is much faster. Of course, back then they also didn't charge for shipping.

They once messed up an order, but they fixed it immediately and sent the missing parts.

BTW, XSOkieSPECIAL, I've got a K5 750 too. While I am not the original owner, I am the only owner since I restored five it years ago. I've got about 30,000 miles on it since then. Great bike.

Only issue I've had recently is they stopped shipping the gel batteries. Something to do with 'quality control' issues.

To bad, too, the price on the Gel cells was comparable to ordinary battery prices.

Other than that, 1-2 weeks is normal.

Unless they've changed their shipping policy, they only ship twice a week - Tuesday's and Fridays IIRC. Depending on when you get your order in and where you live you could get things pretty fast - or not.

                Incubus,

                That's great, but I don't own one.

That is a post I picked up off of another site.

                  parts n more

I have ordered 2 or 3 times from parts-n-more and recieved my stuff in about 4-6 days. All the parts were good quality with only 1 boo boo. I ordered a clutch handle for a 1981 seca and received one that fit a xs1100. I kept it anyway.

My experience with PNM has been that they are slooow in shipping. But he prices are pretty good and they have a good grouping of parts.

                      Hi Catatonic Bug,
I think they are in one of the Carolinas. They certainly ship from a Canadian location for Canadian orders but charge in US $ which they would not need to do if they were here. I received my order in about a week.

I ordered a gasket set for my XJ1100j the seventh 4:30 PDT, recieved it the fifteenth. Thought that was fair for 5 bucks shipping! Will do bussiness with them again.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I guess my project can wait until after Christmas week...The parts should come around then.
