What the seller and you DIDN'T specify is that it's a SPECIAL exhaust system. The mufflers are too short for a Standard, and it WILL NOT fit properly on a standard. The center stand WILL get in the way!Ray Matteis

Normally agree with you Ray, but those pipes ARE for an 81Standard/Special. If someone wins those for $300 or less, they got a heck of a deal for a stock system in decent shape! Notfor earlier models as there is no baffle in cross-over and mufflers are the shorter ones, which makes it nice to remove rear axle bolt. All my standards had the box in the cross over.
My 79, 80 and 81 specials do not. Look just like pipes in photo.

yes they were a very nice set but gone now for a fair price at that. wish i'd of seen them sooner, maybe santa would have brought to me.
