    key

    i have a OH **** problem. does anyone make keys on here? if so pm me
    1980 xs1100 sg.

    There is a four digit number on the ignition switch. Post that number and maybe if someone on here has that same number they can send you a copy (I will if it matches either of mine).
    I also remember someone saying that Yamaha can cut a key from those numbers.

        Yep. Cost me about $16 at the local Yamastealer. I suggest taking the switch in with you though, since the first one they cut didn't operate the lock, and the guy had to re-cut a new one to get it right.

          great guy to deal with and fast, gave him my 4 digit code and a copy of my DL and got them to me right away.
