if I hadn't had to switch to reserve just out of the driveway

I know the feeling....Acouple weeks ago I left for work after doin some tinkering. I was sure I had enough gas because the low fuel light comes on about 5 miles before I hve to hit reserve and reserve can get me back home from work and then some.
So I leave work..and shortly there after the bike starts to sputter... I said to my self.."yep right on schedule" so I reach down and find the petcocks on PRIME!! Insert swear words here________...______...___.._____!
I had left the low fuel light wires unplugged. So I have to park the bike in wet gravel, hoping it dont tip over I was lucky to find gas about a quarter mile away at a farm and he wouldnt take any money for the gallon or so I got from him! (so I left him some free passes and beer tickets to 151 speedway in his mail box).
Sure wish all people could be that kind............

Rode to work today. Didn't get rained on either
when you want something bad enough, don't let anything stand in your way, and don't take "no" for an answer. EVER

It was PERFECT riding weather today. (SF Bay Area of CA)
I rode to work, and when I got home I took advantage of the fact that I found an empty house. Spent about 3 hours tinkering on the bike, working on stuff that I have been putting off.

It has been a good summer so far. I think there has only been two days in the last 6 weeks that I haven't rode a motorcycle to work.

I rode yesterday. Rain storm across the Vegas Valley on the way home. Started driving into it. As I debated to continue I notice lightning less than three miles away. Decided to pull over till it passed.

Funny thing was I saw three other bikes while I was waiting. Decided to beat myself up about "wimping" out. Then kept telling myself I needed more experience in the rain and this was a time to do it.

Same time I am rationalizing that these other riders probably had many riding years behind them unlike myself. I hate it when I start talking back and forth with myself.
