  • XS..... Only Four attended The Gauteng ToyRun

So taught myself to recognize XS's. The Gauteng Toyrun was attended by an access of 32 000 motorbikes, and according to the paperwork there was only four XS's with Bones being one of them. I made sure I see the other three, and man what a search it turned out to be.

Bones all dressed up and ready to go give out toys to the needy for Christmas

And here is a few pics just to give you guys an idea of how big the Gauteng Toyrun is in South Africa. BTW, over 50 000 toys of all sorts was donated.

and then lastly something I know you guys would love. Original 1942 Harley Davidson with Sidecar. Two Attended.

1 out of every 8000 bikes was an XS? I'd say that's rare. Almost as rare as the 1942 hardly.

                Athedra,

Sure looks like the "lay-on-the-tank" bike is the ride of choice where you ride.

Are there a lot of large, hard-shelled bugs flying around down there?

It's that old CRAFT/CRS acting up again. I'm the one that editted his username and added his town/South Africa in his LOCATION when I was reviewing it in the ADMIN section!!

Hey, I have to look down at folks, otherwise I wouldn't see them at my 6'6" eye level! That, and that's what I have to do to look THRU my reading glasses!

But you lost me about the Antifreeze stuff??

Talking about the numbing/dialating crap I've had squirted in my eyes before. Looks like antifreeze or a glowstick juice.. lol. Course.. only been to the eye doc for injuries, not just regular routines. Maybe that's a different deal.

Murphy stepped in when I found them. The memory card on my phone was full. Can only do 700 pictures. And couldn't decide what to delete.

In short they where as follow:

One greyish XS same as mine. One XS 1.1 (Said that on the side cover), and the one that caught about 50 minutes of my time was a XS Eleven Special with a full touring kit on it. Owner told me he has a spare motor, so I got his number on speed dial

Bugs? no we dont have hard shelled bugs, but hitting one of those soft ones, sounds like a golfball on a tin roof inside your head. (friend of mine has a blue eye from hitting one of those soft bugs with a open visor) The hard bugs....... no one survived one yet, so wouldn't know......

You think getting a bike on it's side is hard, try pulling that car into the air to give the effect....

Yep, lots of Happy Kiddies this year. It's a big thing over here, and the cops even close off the highways for the convoy's to pass without problems.

                          Hey Tod,

It's a fluorescent YELLOW color, not green! It's an indicator dye that glows under that nifty cobalt blue light we use....just a color, no radiation involved. It fills into defects in the surface of the eye to show up scratches, foreign objects, etc..

Athedra....with 700 photos of crotch rockets, surely you could have dumped a few to make room for the XS11's!?!?

Oh well, we understand, and great job with the gift giving and all!!
