Took a 125 mi. ride today around 1/4 of Lake Okeechobee and for the 1st 96 miles I only consumed 2.25 gals of fuel (42.66mph). Impressive considering I was running at between 65 to 75 MPH consistently, with the occassional passing throttle twist kissing 100MPH!!
Before the resto I used to only get barely 30MPH around town,now I get 35+ and 42 on the highway at those speeds. I thought I'd never get these types of numbers. I love this bike even if the v-twins get better mileage. Still get inquiries and some snooty remarks at the biker bar, but when I take off and twist the grip in front of them I can see the jaws drop!!
