If there are more than three bolts holding it on there, it is most likely a very important part!
The sad thing is that car is an engineering masterpiece. For all the technical wizardry that car has put in it, 2 mil is actually a bargain. IIRC, it actually has an extra key that activates supercar mode, which squats the suspension, trims the spoilers and a few otherthings to cut down on air resistance. I do remember the magazine talking about it having 8 radiators and the engine is a 16 (IIRC) cylinder X configuration made from joining two Audi V8s. That in its self is mind boggling.
Too bad it isn't sexy like the McLearin F1. If it was, I would sell a few internal organs to get one. Who knows, I might anyway...
I used to dream about building cars like these back when I was a kid, in fact I drew a bunch of designs using Windows 3.1 Paint. I called my 4 turbo setup QuadFour, I stole the name from the Olds Quad 4 engine, and wanted to have them all staggered to have an endless powerband. I still have the old 386 or 486 cpu with all the drawings on it but I have never found a way to make the drawings compatible with newer Windows Paint.
f***s em. that thing is now spare parts If you want to see one of those on full noise, go to youtube and type in something like Top Gear/ Bugatti/ 253 mph, worth the search and watching.
Has already been put on google, "Bugatti Veyron for sale, slightly damp".
Here is actual video of the accident, and notice that there is no "pelican" in sight. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b75_1258211165
Maybe someone should send the link to his insurance provider.
To bad I hate to see such a fine machine ruined,my guess is that salt water did some real damage. That guy probably saved money and waited for years to take delivery of that car.I feel kinda sick to my stomach.I hope he has good insurance.By the way the book that I have shows this car as a 1001 HP,W16,quad turbo with a msrp of $1,500,000.
