Thought it was funny-- and true. Anyone who has ever kick started an old Harley WILL relate to this.

Sure, funny article and maybe true for an old harley, but as far as an 11 knocking you off with the kickstarter, that story is pure bull****. Been kicking mine for a year (blew the starter clutch) and it starts easy, one or two kicks. Only has one cyl in compression at any given time, you know.

True of the Harley or any other bike for that matter.

But, an old 70s model sporty showed me a little air time.

The bruise hung around for about 2 or 3 weeks.

In relating to the XS11, that is total BULL!!
Any Jap 4 can be kickstarted with no problem.

          Ok y'all.

I wasn't trying to start an argument.

I just thought it was rather humorous.

I'll go back to Hot Button Topics and light up another 215.

The only time that ever happened on my .....ummmm other bike was when I forgot to manually retard the magneto. You only forget once.

I had an XT500 once that did that to me regularly, but never had a problem with multi's.

I kick start my bike all the time. I used to do it to my fiat too. it went something like this:

                  crank crank crank crrannk crrrraaaaannnnkkk

Get out of car, kick it and yell "NOW START DAMNIT!"

                  Crank crank rrrrrrrrrrrrrr
