thanks
Gee Deano, that's a big compliment from such an enthusiast of nakedness!!!! I'm in love with my XJ again, was even going thru the pics you sent of the XJ brochure today.
Have you checked out the maps I posted for The Deuce?Last edited by Mike Hart; 07-08-2002, 09:34 AM.Mike * Seattle * 82 F'n'XJ1100 *

Re: pictures? I'll try...
You actually fit behind that fairing ? As tall as you are, it would seem that it would be a tad-bit of a close fit for your legs. I put a fairing on for a while, but the extra weight on the front end affected the handling and made way too much extra noise (not to speak about the extra engine noise that sharply more acute in the cockpit).....

Yes I fit
Hi Chuck
Yeah, I fit in no problem. The weight is negligible - maybe 20 lbs
max? So far, I only notice positives - comfort, quiet. Sounds like
opposite from your experience! The progressive springs in front
(plus the Tkat FB) have so far handled things fine. Okay, it's no
KLT ;>) but hey I'm happy.Mike * Seattle * 82 F'n'XJ1100 *

Dean, yours is the best I've seen yet. Nice work as well. I might have mine done in a year or two at my slow pace.

Krauser bags
Thanks Ken. Gary Berg's XJ is very nice, so is Carolyne
Mulvaine's. Mine looks better than it is in the photo -
the pipes are rusty, the engine is grungy.
I found those bags on a 79F parts bike. I think they may
still be in business, but new bags are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.Mike * Seattle * 82 F'n'XJ1100 *

Finished XJ Tranny
Hello everybody,
Just trying out the new forums, and wanting to post a few messages to get rid of the "NEWBIE" status! The pix is not very good, but it shows the XJ1100 that we have been working on finally ready for the road.....sans license and inspection!!! Kevin "Ex" only lives a few blocks away, and so he gingerly road it over there so he will have quicker access to it Monday PM after he gets done with the DMV.
I left the washing/polishing to him.
Well, this is going to take a little more work in trying to figure out how to post an image to these messages!! I see the IMG button, but then it's asking for a special address to link to, like a files section of this website, not a command to upload the picture persae!?!? Will try later.
