  • Corbin Seat

Whoever just STOLE the Corbin seat from me on ebay, I hope it rides like a mangy one humped flea bitten #@$^&*#@!%$#@!#@$@#!$ camel!

I've been watching that for a week.

    Thanks a LOT!

I have no love for Corbin since they wouldn't even give me a quote on a seat for my '79 Special. I was even going to ride it in

I feel your pain on the sniped seat tho.

Thats the way it works, no bid till end or just kicks the price up. If its something you sureley would wanna win, wait till last 10sec. and bid to WIN.

          Oh well.

EXACTLY, I have never understood people putting a bid in on something 7 days away from ending!!!!!!!!!!!! It often makes me think the seller is putting in the bid from another account only to drive the price up, I know it happens. Just watch some of those items that say "no reserve" and start at $0.01 and see what I mean.

              Greg,

Sorry about the loss on the seat bid...

My advice... save your pennies up & buy a Sergeant.

Corbins are nice, but not the best.

Yea, maybe not, but doesn't that look good!

Don't get me wrong... Corbins are great seats... Cody's got a couple of them... one that's even heated on his BMW 1150 RT...

But the cushiest and sweetest, IMHO, are sergeants... way pricier too.

I bid .01 for a set NOS Vent Shades for my Olds 88. Forgot I had bid figureing it will never happen, it did!!! No reserve bid for a set of gauges for a "79 Standard, (tach, speedo, pilot box.) Placed my bid at a max of $30, (love those 160mph speedos), scored that one for $9.99, and did not get raped on the freight. Scored lotsa parts for my '75 Power Wagon that I thought I would never get but did. I agree though, there are some e-bayers out there that falsely bid to jack up the price. Ebay can be a decent supplier, but like anything else, you hafta watch out for 'em. Saw pocket bikes for $80 but the shipping was close to $300.
                      When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

My favorite is to offer $10 on anything that says make offer. The Venture tensioners were priced at $100 I think, and I got them for $10.

                        I'll let you know when I get a V Max for $10.

You'll probably be bidding against my $11 bid.

There are some auction sites that have a 15 minute rule. If there are any bids in the last 15 minutes of the auction the auction will continue another 15 minutes until there are no bids for the last 15 minutes.

Greg...sorry dude...BTDT too...it seems there are lots of people on ebay that dont have a good strategy when it comes to bidding on stuff...when I first started I was in that boat...bidding on stuff way too early and watching the prices go thru the roof...it didnt take me long to figure it out though...also like others have said...its good to have a limit on how much you'll pay for an item...and if it goes over that limit then its not worth it. Ebay is double edged in that its either the cheapest or the most expensive place to buy stuff.
As for Corbin...never met one that I ever liked..they all sucked...too hard and I could not ride more than 60 miles and I had to get off of it...so I would not lose any sleep over this one.
