CUAgain

[Dragonrider]

Well, my friend Ron and I are out of here in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Headed for Sipapu, New Mexico by way of Carlsbad. We have a couple days extra so we will wander somewhere else for a day or two…back in Dallas on July 14th, just long enough to get ready for the next (longer) trip.

I’ll check the boards again tonight, but for now I leave you with this…


Away I must travel
Speeding into the wind
Experience pulling me ever onward
Driving me to see ‘round the next bend

Many don’t understand
Why it is I must go
To them I can only say
“I really hope, someday you’ll know.”

Others feel this travel is folly
Worrying for my safe return
But how can I really know myself,
if I never try to learn?

Some insist on saying goodbye
Especially those that call me friend
But I can’t return their parting word,
Instead I say ‘NO…I’ll see you again!’

Never fear my friends
For I won’t be gone long
But my soul insists I must be free,
So the Dragon’s Hell and gone.
