I know I've seen pictures of some people's helmets where they paint the tops white to create that very effect! Fairing, bags, White-topped helmet, and they looke just like a cop! Makes people pay more attention! Of course, it makes them slow down when you would probably rather go faster...

I just spent the last year piecing together a full-bagger setup for mine. I like the comfort and convenience that the fairing and bags give me. To each his own, though. Just don't throw the parts away.
