You may not have noticed but California is 770 miles long and about 250 miles wide, has over 10 percent of the countries population too.

I live in the SF Bay Area which is a little north and west of the center of the state. Eureka is about 300 miles and five and half hours away.

In most states you can go just about anywhere in em in a hour or two.

Hey MRO,

I live in Ohio, not the biggest state in the union, but for me to go to my in-laws who live int he opposite corner of the state as in I am in SW corner they are in NE corner is 5 hours minimum, with kids and SWMBO 6 hours.

You wanna get jealous of the deals in a particular state? Try Washington. I see SO many insane deals on CL there. It drives me nuts. I rarely see deals like this in this area.

The problem I have, is nothing really changes geographically. Same monotonous scenery.. with the gridlocked traffic at every big city you come across. I guess Texas doesn't own the patent on that one though.. I've driven in California and L.A. lol. Leave your left turn signal on in the fast lane on the freeway and see how long it takes to get a gun pointed at you.

Ok, so I called the guy. Runs good but the timing chain is loose. He put a new chain and tensioner in but it is still loose. He wasn't sure what the problem is. But it still runs good according to him. I'm thinking of running over there on Saturday. Heck it's gotta be worth more in parts than $450, not that I would part it out.

Hey Jessie, I know your time is limited but do you have a chance to run by and look at it before Saturday? I'd hate to drive the 4 hours over there with a trailer only to find out it wasn't worth it.

Sounds like a good reason to make an offer you would be happy to pay, telling him it may mean the engine needs to removed and disassembled which is a minimum expense of a gasket set and a lot of labor.
Then agin it may only take a few minuets to fix and no parts and you could be riding it...

I would be happy to, see when the guy can be there. I am usually heading home through there every day between 2:30 and 4:00. I can give it a once over, a compression check and anything else I/you can think of.
