    Wow...

I played baseball with Mike Blowers in high school, and his dad was our coach in summer league. He was a couple years ahead of me. Mariners tried to draft him right out of high school, but he had a full ride scholership to the University of Washington. He always said "I could blow out a knee and it will all be gone.. I better get an education to fall back on."

After several years with the Mariners, he started needing too much money (HELL of a hitter..) and got traded (As the Mariners seem to do with ALL their good talent) to the Dodgers. While with the Dodgers, he was rounding third.. routine thing.. you run by the bag a couple steps to make sure they don't overthrow home. He stopped and simply turned around to go back to third.. and his knee blew out.

Looks like he's pretty good at those predictions!.. lol.

I went to visit with him when he came to Vegas when I lived there. A casino was having an arm wrestling tournament among the MLB players and Mike showed up. Now, Mike is about 6' 4" and maybe 195 pounds soaking wet. He got up on the stage when it was his turn and laid his arm backwards probably faster than the guy he was wrestling pushed him. He got an all expense paid trip to Vegas out of the deal though... lol.
