  • A rally in Nebraska???

Come see the Heartland. I was just wondering if the group wanted to have one here in Kearney, Ne. It would be a fast one this year if we wanted to do it or plan a better one next year.

    Thanks

    ok

Don't know about this year for me, but I would be up for something next spring.
Early June may be open since the date for MOM has been moved up to April.

Is there anything other than a straight road in that part of the country? There is a whole pile of folks in Kansas City. Would be neat to gather there and see a "gang" of XSives rumbling that direction.

I'm probably full on my rally "quota" this year, unless it was into November. Not sure what the weather's like up there that time of year though. I ride through the winter here, as long as the ground isn't icy, but I know some folks don't like the cold.

Man, I haven't seen Kearney in quite some time. It'll be a hoot.

We have a Red Knights group

at the fire station and they go on some good rides. I can get with them to find some good eats and a good ride and a road that isn't straight.

I think next year would be the best plan!

Hey Ivan, keep me in the loop. I could roll out there with you. Isn't that the home of Hornady Bullets? Maybe I could stock up!

Not sure, but there is a Baldwin Filters plant there and it is only a short jaunt away from Harold Warp's Pioneer Village, which is really neat to see. Also only about 30 miles away from Grand Island and the Stuhr Museum which has a genuine Pawnee earth lodge replica. Plus if you get there in the right time of year, you will see several million Sandhill Cranes and their unusual mating dance, and hear the daily "Don't Look Up Index" on Hits 106.

Heck, seems that it is getting around to the dove hunting time of year, and I happen to know of a valley out by Arapahoe where we shot over three cases (that's a cross of boxes each) of 12 gauge shells one weekend. Four guys and we sent the buddy from Colorado home with enough doves to fill his limit for about 35 years. Good times.

Man I miss the home land some times.

I might be up for one this year or next. Can get there in a day or so. have been through several times on trips to Wisconsin and back (parents / family in WI) but have never spent any time in the area. Might be fun!

Great Idea! Just ask Bob Falter, we are really good at inviting ourselves to other peoples places for rallies. THE GANG is coming! Hide your women and booze!
