Well actually I have a couple of long straps I use to secure it down but with 55 gallons of water it puts a hurt on my fuel mileage and handeling but sure comes in handy to have plenty of water. If it is not full I feel like I am pulling a tanker truck with no baffels...might get sea sick...

Yeah, sure, but where do you take a freakin' leak!

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
            I've been riding since 1959.

                Ye Ol' Wing

had the opportunity to ride one [88 1500] from Sydney up to home here about 12 / 1300klm,
Done over two days, very comfortable machine--with heated air flow, cruise control, am/fm radio, cassette deck, and a seat to die for.

Having said that I,ve done the same trip on old XS in on hit.Took from 7am--12.30 am, the only real difference was a sore neck from holding your head from with the wind,[the wing had a BIG fairing] and ones' posterior was showing signs of fatigue.

When the trip happens again it will be a toss-up to which bike would be ridden
never ride faster than your gaurdian angel

A friend of mine found an '85 Kawasaki Voyager-in line six, fuel injected 1300, garage kept with 17K miles on it. Asked me if I wanted to drive it, but I told him I didn't have A CDL
