    Thanks to all of you

    for the kind wishes.
To mark the occasion my family took me to dinner at Western Canada's only Burmese restaurant and then to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan's presentation of The Merchant of Venice.
Which may seem a kinda ho-hum evening to you youngsters but it's pretty exciting when you hit 73.

        Hi Cobia,
with Henry Woolf playing Shylock? As ever, his performance was superb.
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Woolf
Actually, not your average Shakesperian production. The costumes were not 1600s but 1930s with the cast wearing Swastika armbands at the end of the final scene. Except for Shylock who was in striped pajamas.
The Burmese food was great. The menu said it was a blend of Chinese and Indian cuisines.

WOW!! That's a new twist on a classic play!! And with Henry Woolf of all people, damn!!
I'm going to have to find a Burmese restaurant around here, that combination sounds very, very appetizing. Love both types of cuisines, particularly if they're spicy. Good tip, thanks.
