  • Another rust remover?

    Has anyone back east given this a try?

    http://www.safestrustremover.com/overview.asp

    Don't remember where I found this...May have even been here. If it was I saved to the wrong spot in my favorites.

    Interesting anyway..

    What's it cost, and how does it work in relation to,
    Evap-O-Rust, which I have had good results?
    2. Availability at Auto parts stores, or where?

      I tend to stick to 'old proven standbys' like OSPHO (Phosphorus) so I am curious as to what exactly this is, its gotta have something other than water in it!

          Yeah, but if it can knock off the rust without resulting in pitting, it would be worth something. I'm leary of just acceptinng their before/after pictures, though. Not that an advertiser would lie to us or mislead us, but still;^}

          One of you guys should try it and let us know. I'd do it, but, well, you know...

            Actually, that doesn't sound too bad. Considering the fact that the stuff i got in a little 8oz bottle was something like $6-7, a gallon of the stuff would cost a fortune!

                Vinegar

                Vinegar works really well too, and is really cheap.

                  It does, but can take a while and you need to do something soon after using it or your nice clean metel will rust up right away.

                  Doing a fuel tank?
                  I just ordered this http://www.kbs-coatings.com/KBS-Larg...-Kit_p_32.html

                  Enough to do 2 tanks for $39.00 plus ship

                    I've also been known to use a little CLR in my time, that will work on a gas tank, this is what I did on mine Clicky very similar to vinegar in regards to having to do something from stopping the rust from coming right back.
