Most deffinitely. She's a heap, but fun to work on. Surprisingly, didn't seem to have any leaks when I bought it, and it looked as if the oil was drained, but the middle drive held plenty of fluid... I found that out the hard way by removing the left chrome middle drive cover for a good cleaning lol. I've got a couple more pictures to get me up to today, but I just sat the refinished tank on and worked on the starter, starter cover (rattle can black), and bearing cover.

Thanks Terry. I wasn't expecting to get this ..."involved," but it's really fun. I haven't done anything hardtail wise yet. I was hoping to wait till she's cranking with spark before jumping into that. Coils are on the way! And I picked up the steel yesterday. I'm not sure how to 'soften' the ride on my body just yet. I've thought maybe some modern technology with a pair of 750lb rated seat shocks. I've looked into OLD seat shocks from tractors (particularly an Allis). I thought about welding in a shorter rear downtube and keeping the stock shocks with the floating rear end, but I'm afraid of catastrophic failure with that route.

I understand with it not being your cup of tea. I was just weary of the "old heap" look at first and I'm not really into that. I am in the process of buying another SF that I want to restore to stock. I'll document that as well and I hope it'll be more to your liking. I think after that comes an XJ... I love the teardrop tanks, lol.
