    Things never change!

BTDT in 1980 when I was a squid going to Corpsman school in Balboa Park, had the rear window...at least they broke the smaller cheaper one with a ROCK, AND stole my 7 channel EQ-40 watt per channel stereo amp. They tried to get the Jensen Triax 6x9's out of the back window, but the boxes were well screwed down to the rear deck!

You might check, but most insurance companies have only a $100 deductible for glass. Still a PITA and not cheap, but better than eating it all yourself.

With the things I've done, people and friends I've met, and places I've been on this bike, it's stolen my heart and has indeed vandalized my budget a few times... But I still love it.. lol.

But yeah, I know what you mean there.

If its a side glass, you can usually pick one up at a scrap yard fairly cheap and put it in your self, if you are comfortable with that sort of thing. You might need a 1/4 inch pop rivet tool though.

What kind of car was it and what window?

I can sympathize with you, my pickup got keyed a while back. It's a rusted out 94 F-150 with liability only insurance. Keying it may have helped the value () but the point is it belongs to you and someone F'ed with your stuff! I know the feeling, you wanna rip the guy's head off and then slap him around.

Well they do have cameras and I filed a report , but the cameras all rotate 360 automatically so - I might get lucky and they catch the SOB , I did find a guy who will install it for 135 OTD but all the warehouses are closed till monday

Same thing happened to the wifes car last week. SOB's smashed the drivers window and stole her GPS. Supermarket carpark, broad daylight, 11.00 am in the morning. Insurance policy has no excess (deductable) on glass but because something was stolen a $300 excess applies, and loss of no claims bonus because the GPS was in plain sight.

Wow! You have some messed-up insurance rules there! They nail you because you could see the GPS from outside the car?? Did the Supermarket have security cameras? They all do around here.
