I would like to take a minute and thank all the people who helped me work on my bike while visiting Bob (iron butt). What started as one fix turned into a snowball of work on my bike. I even got to learn how to clean carbs and sync them. Thanks again for all the help!

Also would like to thank Bob and his lovely wife for putting on a wonderful event. Great food, Great ride, Great People.

How did it work on the return trip?

I got 79.5 miles on 2.52 gallons. A lot better than earlier with 76 miles on 3.18 gallons Saturday afternoon.

32 mpg versus 23... sounds like a pretty good improvement to me! Probably runs decent now when you turn on the petcocks!

That was the worst sounding cam chain I'd ever heard. Surprised it never skipped a crank tooth.

Just filled up my second tank. Looks like 31.5 is the going number. much better than what I was getting but still short of the majority.

31 isn't bad. That is what I get under normal circumstances. Last Monday when I rode back from Ok with Kat, I only got 70 miles on the last tank before my fuel light came on. I hadn't ridden it since then because my ignition switch was messed up. It wouldn't turn off. I just parked it, and didn't bother with it. I finally fixed it last night, and rode it this morning. That is when the light came on, and it took just under three gallons. We were running at least 80 most of the way. Do y'all think that had something to do with it?

Wow! 80mph! Did Kat ever get hers out of 4th gear! lol. I guess she's spent too much time riding with me and Tod. Sorry John, bad habits die hard!
