    1980 XS11SG
    Dunlop elite 3's, progressive fork springs, tkat brace
    Stock motor, airbox, carbs, exhaust
    ratted out, mean, and nasty

    and now a very good argument for making sure your needle and seat work correctly.

    on the other side of the panhead is an xs11 that caught fire because of "The xs1100 yamaha backfired and then caught fire with leaking carbs."

        The worst thing about it I saw was for two or three bikes on either side of it also either caught something on fire or suffered heat damage. http://www.ilmotorcyclists.org/jdean56hd/ was the webpage I got that off of. These pix and a couple others showing fire damage were at the very bottom of the page.

              How's this for a custom xs 1100?!
              That is just wrong! I showed it to my kid and I could see the wheels start to turn in his head. We may have the first dt1100 soon.
