I'll start posting posting pics in the main XS section shortly.

This will be a slow process, I have too many other projects going on too!. I hope to get her ready to ride for next year..

Welcome, do you have any pics of late? 1987 was like 22 years ago.Let us see what your ball of clay looks like now.So we get to watch it progress back to its glory.
That thing looks like it has all the bells and whistles.
At least you know exactly what the PO has and has not done to your baby.Lots of us here dont have that luxury.
Hanging out here should get her in ship shape pretty quick

Welcome to CH 11. That is a very sweet looking 78. Not a fan of throwing harley stuff on these bikes myself, but that front fender does give it a nice look in the full dress config.

As stated, if you can not find the info or help you need to get her back in ready to ride mode here, it does not exist. The true MC Mechanics on here and the folks who have done it all to their machines are awesome with sharing knowledge and if they are local enough some even give their time.

    Dude,
You own one of the best all around standard freakin' bikes ever made! You belong to the august company of elete XS11 bikers. Harley riders should kiss your ass! If you can't get help here to get your XS back on the road, then you should give up and buy a used Sears 250 "Twingal."

Nice! Even has the big, colored front fender! Can't wait to see the updated picture. As was said, ask any and all questions you have about your bike. Lots of info here, and plenty of folks jumping at the chance to help other XSives get their bikes running. If you don't have a manual yet, you can get one from the link in my signature.

    Greetings,
I think there are a pile of folks here that have cramps in their legs from kicking themselves in the seat for selling their first XS...
I have the bruised forehead from a hard wall for not buying one the first time around when I had the chance...

This is the place for the cure. Just ask. The doctors are in....

Welcome again. Good looking ride. Good lookin rider.

Aha! While not finding the album I wanted, I did run across this picture - it's from 1987, when she was in her prime!
