  • Interesting Fairings

Russ79 and I took a ride out to a boneyard last weekend. Found a couple interesting fairings.

This is a shoei fairing that currently is pretty ugly but might look good with a paint job.

Here is a vetter fairing that I am thinking about picking up. I think it would look good on a standard probably painted black.

    What do you guys think?

Looks like they all have potential. Heres a Vetter "Rooster" on my xj. If there is a will, there is a way!

The Shoei is on a Honda but the Vetter is mounted on an XS11 standard so the mounting bracket is already there.

One thing about that Vetter, Harry... You'd have "Lightus XSessiveness" for sure! That would be cool, (if the charging system could stand it...)

I think it would definitely be unique. Vetter made less that 1000 of them before the molds were destroyed in a fire. The place is asking $150 for it but I think I could talk them down a little.

looks like the bike with the Vetter has a fork brace on it - you might want to grab that as well.

I had the same thought after I noticed it in the pic. If anyone wants that Shoei I would be willing to help get it to them. They also have ALOT of windjammers. I bought my set-up from them that is on my XJ. For a windjammer, cycle sound, trunk, saddlebags, and all mounting brackets I paid $225.

How much are they asking for the Shoei fairing? I have a Yamaha factory fairing mount that should hold it with a little work?

Not sure as I didn't ask about that one but if you are serious about it, I could find out for you. I just tried to call them and they are closed due to the holiday. Or if you prefer you can contact them yourself. Here is their website.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw it, looks like a police bike.
