  • Gonna be a dad again!

Well, SWMBO and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary last week, and we've never tried to prevent having kids. It just seemed like it would never happen. I have a son (almost 11 years old now) with my ex, but we wanted to have a couple of our own, together. On Monday night, we finally put several of the strange symptoms together that SWMBO has been having, and decided to get a preg. test. The box came with 3 tests in it and all 3 say she's expecting!

We go to the Dr. on Friday to get the official stuff done, but as long as everything works the way it should, it looks like somewhere around the beginning of 2010, we're gonna have a baby!

                        Hi 'Bug,
congratulations to you both. It's been over 40 years since my youngest daughter was born and I still remember the mantra.
I pass it on to you.

And if you do decide to go the sidecar route you will need a Busmar triple adult to carry all the kit the average baby needs.

Thanks guys! I think I'll stay away from the sidecar for now. The idea is to use the bike to get AWAY from the family for a while! I've done all this stuff before, but I was 20 at that point, with a lot more energy. Back then, 3 hours of sleep was NORMAL for me. Now, I need a bit more sleep than that. I'm hoping I can summon enough energy to keep up this time.

                            Hi 'Bug,
back when our eldest was a newborn, 3 hours uninterrupted sleep was a luxury.
We were so tired that we had this conversation:-
" I can't hear her breathing, perhaps she's dead, go check on her."
" If she's OK checking on her may wake her up. If she's dead she'll still be dead in the morning."
It's horrifying to find how callous you can get from sleep deprivation.

Note I chose the endrogenous color. Encourage breast feeding, you get to sleep!!! Both of mine were bottle fed, I never sleep anyway, even now. You get all of that you need when your dead!
