Which route will you be taking? Maybe I can find steves number and have him meet us there.

I figured on taking 151 to Dubuque and then 20 over to Woodstock. Then planned on coming back on 20, then 2 south along the river to Dixon, then I88, and I80. Both routes are about the same distance (around 215 miles) but I figure the interstate route will be faster. That is why I was going to take it going home but I could reverse it if you want. With my present plan we could meet in Freeport on the way over and you would drop off in Dixon on the way back.

Maybe Arlan will go?

Sorry Matt, I looked all this the info up 2 days ago but never got around to replying to you. There is the Landmark Family Restaurant at 1 East Main St. in Freeport (on highway 75, 2 blocks off highway 20 Buss). It’s 140 miles from Ely. If I can get out of here a little before 7am, we could meet there for breakfast at 9:30am. That should get us to the swap meet a little after 11am. Now the weather isn’t looking as good so I may not go, especially if you and I are the only ones going. Did you get some rain gear yet?

Is it just me or does meeting Bob for a ride always involve a restaurant? South Wichita on the MOM ride comes to mind. Course Bob was in the parking lot as soon as we rode in to introduce himself. Lazy lard butt Harry was still parked in the booth. (evil grin)

I’m still planning on going to Woodstock next Sunday (8/16) if the weather is good. Right now the forecast looks good but that is a week away. Anyone else going?

Just got off the phone with Bob, Ok so I am a day off I thought it was today! He sad we will check the weather tomorrow morning. He is hoping some of you Chicago riders can make it out to Woodstock and meet up with us. Looks like if we keep to Bob's plans we will be arriving around 11 am.

Matt, it’s raining here now, suppose to rain all day, and it’s moving east. Dubuque has the same forecast. It’s suppose to start raining mid day in Freeport and your area. In Woodstock it looks like it will hold off until mid afternoon. I may be able to run out of it by the time I get to Freeport this morning, but it looks like we would end up riding in rain all the way home. Since it is just you and I, I’m bailing out. I’ll be seeing you, Dan, and the rest of the group next weekend. Maybe some of you guys from the Chicago area can come then.
