I saw that a while back on youtube. The grafitti paint job didn't do anything for me, but you've got to admire the guy's moxie, He is right in that you get a lot of bike for the dollar.
I keep wondering what the cars that were coming through the scene must have been thinking, especially the one when the dragster didn't get into the right lane for a while!Bothell, WA

I saw that before also. Although it looks cool, I'm going to bet money that the tire is really old and hard. A new tire shouldn't be able to do that unless it was wet. Most any new tire.. even a cheap one.. should grip the road well enough that it does wheelies before burning out. You're wasting power if you can't get it to the road. Someone who knows how to ride, feather the clutch, and has a good tire would smoke this guy off the line while he sat there burning rubber.
TodTry your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

I've seen guys on bikes that I KNOW can/will wheelie do burnouts. It's just a matter of making sure it breaks loose before any movement of the bike can happen. My Camaro won't smoke the tires on normal clean dry pavement under normal conditions. That said, if I load up torque converter by powerbraking I can smoke them all day long.
I suspect I could do the same on my bike, but I'd rather spend my rubber on actually riding than sitting there making smoke like some guys I've seen (I would say I've never seen a woman be stupid like that but I watch a special on discovery about sturgis where a woman won the burnout contest. Apparently because not only did she blow out her tire spectacularly, but did it topless as well (no they didn't show that part))Cy

Nothing against him personally, maybe he's a forum member... but it just looked like he was beating the h*ll out of an XS just because it was a cheap $500-dollar bike. "Oh... I'll just throw it in the trash as soon as I can afford a Hayabusa...."
And I don't think he should get anywhere near a Hayabusa....
