NASCAR and Memorial Day

Now, I am the farthest thing you will ever find from a NASCAR fan, so of course I didn't watch the race, but did anyone see the tribute NASCAR did for Memorial Day? They actually stopped the race for a moment of silence. Very touching and VERY classy. Well Done.

I was watching the Red Sox/Twins game yesterday when I saw them stop the game right in the middle of an inning for a Memorial Day Rememberance. The time was 4 p.m. EST so I was wondering if they were doing that all over the country except maybe the West Coast where the games were played later.

Here's my two sons, Kevin (left) and Donnie (middle) with my son's friend Brian (far right) at a Memorial Day Ceremony in NH yesterday. Both Donnie and Brian came up for the weekend from Camp Lejeune, NC which was why I didn't make it to the rally in VT.
