Need help here

Item number: 110392540124 on Ebay is advertised as replacement for 80-81 Midnight Special Seat. The picture of the pan looks close, but the seat cover is not correct. Can anyone tell for sure. Anything but an LG or LH for 80-81 won't work according to part numbers. Seller hasn't responded to my question. Thanks guys. Kim

If you dont have a special or midnight it wont fit(which you do have a midnight I see). The pans are different between standard and special.But I dont know about the year difference.I seem to remember something about the 81 and 80 seats wont fit right with each others side covers.
Maybe someone else would know for sure.

Both the 80 & 81 (LG & LH) use the 4W1-W2472-00-00 part number.
My concern is missing out on a good replacement part. The seller or previous owner may have placed another cover on the pan that may be for a G model. I don't want to miss out on a pan that fits.

See how the special pan has a step in it?I think you would be fine with that seat on ebay.

Thank you for the pictures. Your pan bottom looks identical to the G model that expired this morning on ebay. It has the three holes showing foam pad. This one I'm asking about has two holes showing foam. I'm almost tempted to bid it in, just in case. I haven't seen many MNS seats come up, but don't want to waste cash either.

Ok,if you dont bid ,let me know.I may be interested in it.I have a king/queen on mine that I hate.But I dont know if I want to spend right now either.
But if you bid I'll definitely sit this one out.Seeing how you found it anyway.

Good luck I hope you get it.I dont know if you bid on ebay much.But if you wait till the last 5 minutes you may get it for the least amount.I usually bid the last couple minutes.

A standard seat will fit a special, but looks like hell. Ask Trainzz.

Kim, if you do end up getting it, I am sure you might be able to work something out with Trainzz (Lee), he is looking for a special seat, maybe you have a spare or something?

Looks like a 80 special seat to me. I am running the same seat and cover on my 81 special.
It should fit the 80-81 MNS with no problems.

It went for over my $100 bid limit. I'll keep looking. Went on a jaunt of 300 miles Saturday afternoon. Numb butt; maybe that's the nature of these beasts. P.S. Ebay said it went for $117 plus shipping.
